The Dell 3130cn, with its black casing and block-like design, looks exactly like the other printing machines that Dell put on the market. Thankfully, the 3130cn does manage to differentiate itself from other Dell color laser printers through its fast printing speed, making it a perfect addition to any small office or workgroup. In black and white the Dell 3130cn can print up to 30 pages per minute and in color can print up to 25 pages per minute, which are both very quick printing speeds for printers in this price band.  With a 600x600 dpi print resolution as well, you know that the quality of the prints will be good.

 

If there has to be any criticism of the Dell 3130cn, it's that no duplexer is offered as standard, although you can buy it as an additional extra. This means that this printer is not suitable for those who have to carry out double-sided printing jobs. Aside from this issue, there is little wrong with the Dell 3130cn. One feature that will have most jumping for joy is the fact that the Dell 3130cn runs perfectly well on re-filled cheap toner cartridges, which means that the days of buying Dell's own brand refills can be long gone.
