For a four pass engine, Konica Minolta magicolor 2400W offers an unbelievable performance. Price is ludicrous and could be the cheapest in its class. Set-up is surprisingly fast as well. Toner cartridges are shipped inside the printer and you don’t even have to manually prepare them. These toner cartridges are however only starter ink cartridges and do not contain much toner powder. They will only last a little while and then you will be required to buy a new set of black, cyan magenta and yellow toner cartridges. It can cost you almost as much as a new printer but fortunately you do have the option of buying the lower priced generic branded cheap toner cartridges from Peachtree INK. Printing quality becomes good, if not excellent for monochrome and color. It is safe to say that Konica 2400W is a good mix of the main features most users look for in a laser printer. It weighs only 44 pounds and physical body measures 13.4 by 16.9 by 19.8. It can easily fit small offices and household rooms. Its two button control panel mirrors simplicity and ease of use. Standard input tray has a 200 sheet media capacity, but the lack of available option for larger trays and duplexer can be a downer. Speed is at the average 20 pages per minute for black & white and 5 pages per minute for color. 

 

It is powered by Naltec N4 processor and has a built in 32 MB RAM that is non-expandable. Each toner cartridge can print up to 1500 pages even using re-manufactured toners, with the latter being more economical. Mac is not yet supported, thus Apple users should opt for another model or series.
