LEXMARK TONER - X215, X215MFP (18S0090) - (Black)

Lexmark X215 is a multifunction laser printer targeted for small businesses. It is fast, reasonably priced, if not the cheapest compared to its competitors, and also unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. After unpacking, set-up is fairly easy to follow with the use of High Speed USB or parallel port. The front panel is laid out cleverly; printing is hassle free with the help of a two- line, 16 character LCD panel. Standard trays have maximum sheet capacity of 250 with no option for additional feeders. Lexmark X215 functions as a fax machine, scanner, monochrome copier and printer that can print up to 17 pages per minute. Maximum printing and scanning resolution is only 600 x 600 dpi, so It may not be advisable for tasks that requires large size prints. We found this printer to be below average and one that we would not recommend.

 

Monthly duty cycle is approximately 10,000 impressions. Built in RAM is only 16 MB with no available slots for expansion. It also doesn’t support two-way printing and no purchase option is available. Consumables include a black ink toner cartridge that can yield up to 2000 pages. Since replacing toners with new ones can be a pain to small businesses, low cost re-filled toner cartridges are made available to address this problem. Toner cartridge # 18S0090 in black is compatible with this printer and will work just fine even though it may not be a Lexmark original toner cartridges.
